Swedish Medical Certificate 

  • Medical History

  • Overview over Alcohol, tobacco, and medication use

  • Clinical examination with particular focus on heart and lungs

  • Blood pressure measurement and examination for orthostatic hypotension

  • Hearing test and audiometry

  • Lung function test

  • Resting ECG and cholesterol/lipid levels, as well as SCORE2

  • (First time and subsequently every minimum 5 years < age 40 until age 42,

  • or minimum every 2 years > age 40)

  • Exercise ECG in cases of special risk of cardiovascular disease or upon employee request.

  • Fitness test (step test or exercise ECG) for physically demanding climbing work.


The purpose of the medical examination is to ensure your safety and health when working at height with level differences. The Swedish Work Environment Authority's regulations AFS 2019:3 (rev. AFS 2023:16) require that a medical examination be carried out in accordance with Appendix 10.
